what is the cheapest and fastest way to evict a tenant who does not pay his rent?

it is my understanding that cost may vary depending on County
so,what about Hillsborough County Tampa Florida?

    Talk to the county housing department. They will tell you the rules and fees.

    Laws vary all over the country. Your best bet is to contact your local lawyer. If you don’t have one, you need to find a good one if you’re going to being renting property. This won’t be your LAST eviction!!

    Call my cousin, Nunzio – or- use the system and call the court, schedule a date and apply for an eviction order. Have you tried to figure out why the renter has not paid? Can you work out an amicable agreement? Do you absolutely need the money now? You could get the renter to sign a promisory note for an amout greatly in excess of the rent due, then when the renter defaults on the note, write off the amount as a bad debt on your taxes and get the IRS to foot the bill.

    send them a notice, file in court for a process of eviction, go to the hearing, and they will issue a legal eviction notice.

    This is the only legal way to evict someone.

    call the local courthouse to ask for how much. The only way to evict is through the court system unless your tenant will move without you filing for eviction. Tell them you will evict unless they sign a paper and move out w/in so many days. That might work if they don’t want to go to court.

    In Hillsborough County, you must give the tenant a 3 day notice to pay rent and then file with the court after the 3 days are up if they still have not paid.

    Do NOT turn off their services as someone suggested because not only is it illegal in every state, but in Hillsborough County you will also have to pay them up to 3 months rent as damages, plus costs and attorney fees.

    To find out the filing fee, call up the court and ask.

    Florida court filing fees are uniform. Evictions are $80.00 plus the cost of serving the summons: generally about $25.00. There is no faster, cheaper way. You must deliver or post a three day notice to pay or quit. If they don’t pay or leave, you file the eviction action which has a 5 days summons. If they fail to answer within 5 days (excluding weekends) you get a default judgment of eviction & prepare a writ of pessession which you deliver to the Sheriff (about $45.00) who will then serve/post it with another 48 hour notice. If they still don’t leave, you call the Sheriff & they’ll tell you their fee schedule for going back out there with a locksmith & moving van to forcibly put the tenants out. (Figure another ($300.00 or so) That is the FAST way. If the tenant answers the 5 day summons by saying they paid, you have to set the case for a hearing before a judge. Deadbeat tenants know how to stall you for a month or two.
