We will be passing through Tampa and spend a night or two at a hotel on the beach and was wondering which is the best/cleanest beach/water. Nicer sand and clearest water I guess is what I am trying to say, just best beach to swim with kids. I think some are manglar water and some are gulf water. Some places I am looking into are Clearwater / Sarasota / Indian Rocks Beach / St. Petersburgh / St. Pete Beach…Any ideas please….
What is the best beach for a night or two in Tampa?

All of the locations you mentioned are right at the top of the list for great beaches. Bright sand and beautiful bluish waters. Indian Rocks Beach and St. Pete Beach are outstanding. Seashell hunting is excellent. You won’t find clear water like you see in those travel brochures from the Bahamas, but it can appear to be pretty close on a good calm day.
Bring LOTS of sunblock for the kids.

Hello,
I love Indian Rocks Beach and Madeira Beach
Indian Rocks has Crabby Bills and Madeira has Johns Pass. If you want to go a little further (1 hourish) South there is also a beach called Siesta Key. They have a nice little village and an award winning beach (it’s been on Dr. Beach’s list for a few years). Siesta is really my favorite in the area
