I’m going on vacation to Tampa Florida in early November. I’m looking for suggestions on things to do.?

I am going with my girlfriend. We are late 20’s-early 30’s. We are from Wisconsin. Here are some things that we enjoy: Dancing, beaches, sports, seafood, music, cocktails, music, hiking/parks, sightseeing, things off the beaten path, wildlife, water(swimming/boating etc.) What are your suggestions? What do you like to do there?

    Busch Gardens! That’s one of my favorites. Go to the beaches–St Petes/Clearwater. Both are quaint towns in their own right and radically different. Clearwater is more traditional beach town. St Pete’s is cuter. It’s more upscale. They all have some great food. Check out a Cuban restaurant and some of the mexican street food.

    As for Sports, go to a Bucs or a Lightening game. November is too late for the Devil Rays but you can still see an NHL or NFL game.

    For the nightlife go to Ybor City. That’s a small suburb city. Basically you park and there are 100 restaurants and clubs all within walking distance. A great sushi restaurant there too.

    As for seafood, every place in Tampa serves good seafood. IMHO you only order seafood within 100 miles of an ocean and Tampa definitely meets that.

    I love Tampa–it’s one of my favorite cities. It’s a huge city but still kinda feels like small town charm. It’s got a lot of ethnic food as well. Greek and Lebonese restaurants, Russian, and plenty of your typical chains.

    If you like the beach, you can rent a condo cheaply on the beach and they’ve just been redecorated at the Island Gulf Resort on Madeira Beach.

    It is near John’s Pass where there are seafood restaurants and boats for fishing trips.
    Go to Ybor City in Tampa for nightlife.
    Florida Aquarium in Tampa
    Get tickets to the Buccaneers football game in Tampa or to the Lightning Hockey team in Tampa.
    The Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa is one of the highest rated family zoos and Busch Gardens in addition to rides and shows has a very large animal park.
    The Dali Museum in St. Petersburg has the largest exhibit of his work in the world
