What is the best beach for a night or two in Tampa?

We will be passing through Tampa and spend a night or two at a hotel on the beach and was wondering which is the best/cleanest beach/water. Nicer sand and clearest water I guess is what I am trying to say, just best beach to swim with kids. I think some are manglar water and some are gulf water. Some places I am looking into are Clearwater / Sarasota / Indian Rocks Beach / St. Petersburgh / St. Pete Beach…Any ideas please….

Is it wrong to use online hotel reservations in this way?

I can’t leave tomorrow, so I went to my hotel site and pushed my reservation back a day. I may do it again tomorrow, depending on circumstances.

Is that wrong to do? I’m effectively “holding” a room that I haven’t even paid for yet, but keeping anyone else from moving in.

Okay second try within 24 hours. I had a mixed reaction but it was heading towards that my picks sucked. But I’m going to give it another shot.

AFC East:
New England Patriots 13-3…Still 13-3.
New York Jets 9-7…The addition of Brett Favre will help but I think I had too much faith my first time doing this.
Buffalo Bills 9-7… They won’t get as much division wins as the Jets but still do good.
Miami Dolphins 4-12… They are in a strong rebuilding process.

AFC North:

Cleveland Browns 10-6… They finally take the division.
Pittsburgh Steelers 10-6… Their schedule will cost them to lose the division but get a wild card spot.
Cincinnati Bengals 9-7… I think the defense is holding them back from taking the division.
Baltimore Ravens 3-13…They don’t have a very good quarterback. A defense can only get you so many games.

AFC South:

Indianapolis Colts 13-3… The bride.
Jacksonville Jaguars 11-5… The bridesmaid.
Tennesee Titans 6-10… The horrible passing game cost them.
Houston Texans 4-12…They aren’t really that good to be honest.

AFC West:

San Diego Chargers 11-5… They do have the best roster in the NFL.
Denver Broncos 9-7…Close but no cigar. They don’t have a big player. Somebody that will get them a playoff spot.
Oakland Raiders 7-9… They will get tons of INT’s. But throw too many to get in the playoffs.
Kansas City Chiefs 6-10… What was I thinking!? 10-6!

NFC East:

New York Giants 11-5… Super Bowl Champs.
Dallas Cowboys 10-6… Still an awesome team. But there might be a few underdog upsets.
Philadelphia Eagles 9-7… They spread thir wings a little.
Washington Redskins 5-11… No Joe Gibbs or Sean Taylor.

NFC North:

Minnesota Vikings 11-5… I guess their quarterback is ok. If he doesn’t execute Adrian Peterson will win the games.
Green Bay Packers 9-7… It’s Aaron Rogers.
Chicago Bears 4-12…Hahaha. This team is such a joke.
Detroit Lions 3-13… These guys have been a joke ever since they started.

NFC South:

New Orleans 11-5…What happened last year?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9-7… Go Bucs.I just don’t think my Bucs will win the division. But they will earn a playoff spot.
Carolina Panthers 8-8… They might actually give their fans a reason to go to their home games.
Atlanta Falcons 5-11…Everything’s under control, but still a rough year.

NFC West:

Arizona Cardinals 10-6… They almost did it last year.
Seattle Seahawks 9-7… I thought they were going to suck this year but Holgrem will do alright with them.
San Francisco 49ers 6-10… Not that good of a team.
St.louis Rams 6-10… A little step up.

Wild Card

Win Tampa Bay Buccaneers Vs. New Orleans Saints…A shocker.
Jacksonville Jaguars Vs. Cleveland Browns Win…Cleveland does what Pittsburgh couldn’t.
Pittsburgh Steelers Vs. San Diego Chargers Win… Good game but San Diego comes out victourious.
Dallas Cowboys Vs. Arizona Cardinals Win..Upset.

San Diego Chargers Vs. New England Patriots Win…Like every year.

I am planning on visiting a friend in Charleston over the summer and I will be traveling by myself. The problem with this is that I don’t know if I will have anywhere to stay because I am only 18. Are there any hotels that are lenient with in the Charleston area?

my son wants to visit his friends that he met while we were on vacation. we live in gainesville and they live in northern tampa which is about a 2 hour trip. do you think this is a good idea if i have not met the parents? if it seems fine, then what would be a good way to get him there considering that i cant drive him 2 hours away just to turn around and come back then do it again a few days later? any idvice or suggestions? thanks

I believe renting is a waste of money. I went to search for an apt to rent and, including water and cable, the one I want comes to $727/month. I would prefer buying a house. What is the price range for a house that will allow me to make $700/month payments? Also I only have $5000 for money down and 2 months to find a house. We live in Tampa and have taken our 2 older boys (now 11 and 13) to Disney a handful of times. We havent been in about 4 years and now have a 1 1/2 year old son. We are going on a Disney vacation next month. What rides will our little one be able to go on? Also…if you have any tips or advice or something fun there we may not know about..please tell! Here’s the situation. You’re a new head coach in the NFL and you have to implement a new system on offense on defense. What style systems do you run?

Here are a few of the different styles:
Offense
-West Coast offense (mostly short passes, utilizes tight ends and running backs in the passing game, running game is usually single-back, up the middle runs) usually 60% pass 40% run
Current NFL example: Philadelphia Eagles
-Air Coryell offense (deep passes, power run game, extensive use of play-action, also utilize running backs and tight ends in mid-range passing game) usually 55% pass 45% run
Current NFL example: San Diego Chargers
-Spread offense (multiple wide receiver sets, often uses shotgun formations, short to mid-range passing game mostly revolving around crossing routes and curls) usually 70% pass 30% run
Current NFL example: New England Patriots, Arizona Cardinals

Defense
-3-4 defense (big d-linemen, versatile linebackers, good cover defensive backs, uses blitzes from all areas of the field, uses many different coverage schemes, main purpose is to put pressure on/confuse the quarterback)
Current NFL example: Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers
-4-3 defense (fast defensive ends, big defensive tackles, big linebackers, good cover corners, safeties play two-deep zone, utilizes many blitzes with front 7 but safeties usually play deep to prevent big plays, goal is to stop the run and pressure the quarterback)
Current NFL example: Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants
-Tampa 2 defense (lightning fast defensive line and linebackers, physical cornerbacks, safeties play two-deep, seldomly uses blitzes and relies solely on d-line to get pressure, relies on speed to cause turnovers in the passing game)
Current NFL example: Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts
-46 Bear defense (four linemen, four linebackers, two corners, and one safety, goal is to stop run completely, requires a safety with lots of speed to avoid getting burned deep)
Current NFL example: Baltimore Ravens (at times), New York Jets (at times)

My current philosophy is the west coast offense (because of its utilization of all skill players) and the Tampa 2 defense (because of its simplicity and I’ve always been fond of the undersized defensive players). What do you guys think?

I think it’s the NFC South. I’m a saints fan and i was surprised to see that they actually still have a shot at making the playoffs. At 4-5, they are tied for second place with Carolina and only one win away from Tampa Bay. Wow our conference sucks!

I live in the Tampa bay area. We are looking foward to our family vacation this year but we cannot decide where to go. It is myself,my husband & 2 kids (6 & 2). We can go on a 5 night cruise (the exact same one that we went on last year-the same one because of price and it leaves from Tampa) or go to disney for a week. I found a Go Kart racing place off of 34th St. and US-19.
I’m still looking to see if there’s any other good places to go for a little birthday party I’m having. There will be about 4-5 people all together.

Any other suggestions on what to do for a birthday party would be great.
I was thinking about camping in my backyard and my friend would bring her little fire pit with her. But we can’t think of anything to do on the next day. I live in Florida… So you can imagine what the weather’s going to be like.
I also have 5 younger siblings (under 12) that’ll want to be around us and… I’m sure some people can understand why I’d want to get out of the house and do something fun out of the house. ;D

By the way, my birthday is in just a few days and I’m limited on what days I can have a party cause my family has a lot of birthdays in October. I come from a big family… in case you were wondering.
