Error on hotel search engine…?

04 Jun

I found a hotel that is usually really expensive on a search engine, and it was marked up at $5 a night, when in reality it’s more like $120 a night, so naturally, as it was a nice hotel and the time I’m going, I booked it. Anyway, all the confirmation emails came through, and on the website it said the booking was confirmed, so should this be ok, or will the hotel back out?

Maybe they’re running some kind of special. You have already booked so they can’t back out. If it was truly an error in price they would have to let you know and give you the option to cancel your booking. If I were you I would make sure you have something that states the rate at the time you booked, so you wont have any issues. Also check the fine print to make sure there aren’t any hidden fees they may try to charge to increase the rate.

Where did you book this at?

I would check with who you booked it from.

Also, Hotels sometimes dont add tax until you actually check in, be sure thats not the case here.

In future, I would recommend http://vacationsnbeyond.joystar.com

    Good luck

Yes they can change price, some hotels give a price then when you get there they say that was before tax.

If you confirmed at a price then the hotel can’t change it. When you check in just confirm the price with your confirmation email. Hopefully everything works out.
