i stayed at only 2 hotels close to the convention center Crowne Plaza Tampa East Sabal Park
it was convenient and a great hotel
the other one was Embassy Suites Tampa (i prefered this hotel as it has`a direct connection to the Tampa Convention Center by an open air sky bridge.also its a newer hotel.

The Embassy Suites Convention Center (don’t confuse it with the 3 other Embassy Suites hotels in Tampa) is attached to the convention center by a skybridge.
